Academic Partner Program (APP)

There are two levels of membership, Standard and Premium. The Standard membership is free provided the program terms and conditions are met. The Premium membership grants additional benefits for a small charge of £200/$400/€300 per annum. The benefits conferred by both are listed below.

Standard membership

• 10 individual PC licenses or a 10-concurrent user floating license to be used for teaching and coursework. Each licence includes Xpress-IVE with Mosel/Optimizer; Mosel, BCL and Optimizer libraries; MIP, Barrier and MIQP algorithms, Mosel ODBC data connector; Hyper capacity; and Java library wrappers.Deployment of these licenses is limited to systems owned and managed by the academic institute.
• Unlimited Student Edition licenses (Windows platforms only). Student licenses have restricted capacity/functionality. Student licenses may be installed on any machine. Student licenses may be used for teaching and research. Student licenses may not be used for consulting.
• Right to print/copy all manuals for teaching and research.
• Copy of teaching material to use/copy/adapt for teaching purposes.
• Right for full-time Academics to use non-student license(s) for research. Fair Isaac and Xpress-MP must be acknowledged.
• Right for full-time Academics to use non-student license(s) for consulting. Fair Isaac and Xpress-MP must be acknowledged and customer contact information must be disclosed to Fair Isaac.

Premium membership

• All of the benefits of the Standard membership.
• Bug fixes: free downloads from this website

• Email support/help (Academic ASSC) to one nominated contact.
• Licenses may be transferred between machines during the APP period, not just at the year end.
• Licences may be updated to the latest release during the APP period. So you can always be using the most up-to-date version of Xpress-MP.
• The Xpress-Kalis constraint programming solver is included in the package.
• The Xpress-SP stochastic programming solver is included in the package.
• The 64bit version of the software is included in the package.

Extras

• Additional ten licenses:£1000/$2000/€1600. This is a one off payment for the duration of APP membership. They will be renewed with the initial 10 free license units, and under the same conditions.

Terms and Conditions

• APP licenses cannot be used for commercial or commercially-funded purposes.
• All licenses requested under this program must be requested at the same time. Licenses may not be transferred between machines until the next annual renewal date. This term does not apply if Academic ASSC is purchased.
• Academic institution must teach a minimum of one course per year with Xpress-MP.
• Licenses are non-transferable and are for degree awarding institutions only.
• The nominated academic contact must complete a brief report at the end of each year stating course(s); numbers of students; consulting projects; research projects; and papers on which Xpress-MP has been used.
• License renewal conditional upon receipt of an annual report and fulfilling commitments above.
• Fair Isaac reserves the right to:
  • change the terms of the program without notice,
  • refuse applications,
  • not renew licenses
• The Academic Partner Program is not available in all countries. Please contact Dash for availability. The APP is currently not available in Japan.
