Exceptions and Qualifications
Xpress-IVE and Xpress-XAD are available on Windows 32bit and 64bit platforms only ( excluding Itanium 2 ).
Xpress-XL is available on Windows 32 platforms only. It requires Microsoft Excel 97, Excel 2000, or Excel XP.
The operating systems covered by these broad platforms include many different variants and versions. In general, Xpress-MP will move to support the latest variant/version of an operating system within six months of it becoming generally available and sufficiently reliable for our purposes. This means that we will publish one set of binaries for the underlying operating system suitable for use on the new variant/version.
Where possible, these binaries will be backwards compatible by at least one step (and more if possible), i.e., they will run on earlier variants/versions of the operating system. However, this may not be possible if the platform manufacturer has withdrawn the hardware, or made substantial changes to the hardware and/or operating system which make it impossible to maintain backwards compatibility.
